Proposed End of the Year Schedule

Dear Honor Society Members and Parents:

Planning meeting dates for the remainder of the year surely could have been a topic for our parent and
officer meetings at our last meeting! However, we offer our sincere apologies for failing to bring this up
AND implore that you look this proposed schedule over.

We want to include as many people as possible each time, especially for the year end awards
banquet. Since, a number of new families have joined mid-year who may desire to attend the four
needed meetings to be eligible to vote for or become our new officers, we have developed the following
schedule. The officers must plan attend the awards banquet otherwise which meetings you attend are up
to you. The more you can join us the more we can grow together.

Please send your comments about which dates will LIKELY work for you as soon as possible to Mrs.
Janzen and Mrs. Stewart. RSVP's to the Feb and March events should ALSO go to Rachel

Proposed schedule: (All of these would count as official meetings and would qualify the student to
be a member in good standing...so there is still a chance to attend enough meetings to vote, run for office
and get involved!)

February 10, 2013: 2pm TOUR of Medical Teams REAL.LIFE. Exhibit Develops awareness of global
disasters and how we can help....Go to: http://www.medicalteams.org/real-life-exhibit-home to see
if this is right for your high school student. Reservations for 20 students and 4 adults have been
made. PLEASE RSVP TO Rachel Fessenden and we will adjust our reservation as needed.

March 9, 2013: Time TBA Annual Service Day at Birch Community Center If you have not served here

April 13, 2013: 5pm, LAST STUDENT RUN BUSINESS MEETING OF THE YEAR, STEWART
HOME UNLESS THERE IS ANOTHER FAMILY WHO WOULD LIKE TO HOST...WEST SIDE OF THE
WILLAMETTE RIVER PREFERRED. ANYONE?

*May 31, 2013?: 6pm, 3rd Annual Awards Banquet and Elections, Location TBA

*June 1, 2013 7pm Stewart's Home, MANDATORY ICE CREAM SOCIAL FOR OUT-GOING AND IN-
COMING OFFICERS- NEW THIS YEAR! We have talked about this before, but this year we will
provide/require the current officer to pass on info/train the incoming officer over a dish of ice cream. Stay
to socialize afterwards as desired.
