This meeting of the Omicron Kappa Chapter was called to order at 5:10 pm, by
President Emily Brant.
Introduction
The opening prayer was given by Secretary Matthieu Galizia.
President Emily Brant welcomed everyone, and all the members prepared for the
elections.
Elections
The elections were held from in a slightly different order, so as to let the
members give their speeches for their primary position first.
Banquet
The members and their families then participated in a banquet. This was a more
informal time in which the members could get to know each other better.
This was followed by a special recognition (and photo shoot) of all the new
members of this past year.
Awards Ceremony
Mrs. Janzen and Mrs. Stewart then conducted the awards ceremony. Each
member was called by name to the front of the room where they were
acknowledged and congratulated for the various awards they had received this
past year. These awards ranged from 4H awards to Volunteer Service awards.
Senior Salute
The senior graduating class from this year was then acknowledged. They each
gave a speech of what kinds of things they learned during high school, and what
their expectations and goals are for the upcoming years.
This was followed by an introduction to the new advisors for the upcoming years.
Mrs. Stewart resigned from her position, so Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt will be joining
Mrs. Janzen in advising our group.
This was followed by the closing prayer, given by Vice President Robert Stewart,
and the meeting was adjourned.
